UAF researchers help solve the mystery of Antarctica's Blood Falls FAIRBANKS - A vivid red waterfall in Antarctica called Blood Falls is likely the outflow of a large, salty body of water that has trapped under a glacier for a million years, according to a new study published in the Journal of Glaciology.
