Toxic chemicals banned 40 YEARS ago could cause a 'killer whale apocalypse' In 1978, chemicals called 'polychlorinated biphenyl' (PCBs) were banned, after it was discovered that they were toxic. But despite this ban, PCB are still abundant in nature today - and they're wreaking havoc on several animals.
